Biography
Born in Tehran in 1975, Dr. Shahidi attended primary and secondary schools in Sari, capital of Mazandaran province, on the Caspian sea coast. He obtained the degree of Doctor in Dental Surgery in 2001. He then practiced dentistry in public and private dental clinics in Tehran.
Dr. Shahidi soon after specializes in Preventive, Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Geneva which is renowned in these fields worldwide. He received the Doctorate degree from this University in Dental Medicine as well as his Swiss Federal Diploma in Dentistry. During this period, Dr Shahidi was also involved in carrying out research (Master of Advanced Studies in Oral Biology, Doctoral program in Dental Medicine), as well as in training undergraduate students in Dentistry and students at the Geneva Dental Assistant's School (FORAD).
After several years of practice in a private dental clinic, Dr. Shahidi opened his dental clinic in 2015 in Lausanne. He has a special interest in esthetic rehabilitation and smile design, TMJ disorder and also root canal treatment.

Married and father of two children, Dr. Shahidi lives in Lausanne. He speaks French, English and Persian fluently.

Treatments

Dental care is generally categorized into 2 main groups::
  • Emergency care:
    For example in the event of an accident, infection or acute pain
  • Scheduled care:
    Following the consultation for the annual check-up, a complete assessment of the oral condition will be established. When necessary, a treatment plan and then a quotation for your oral care will be carried out.

Scheduled care is classified into 3 groups, for which, in most cases it is preferable to respect the following order:

  • Scaling, prophylaxis, and oral hygiene instructions
    (brushing techniques, dental floss, brush, toothpick, etc.)
  • Subgingival curettage with local anesthesia
  • Fluorination treatments (jelly or fluorinated resin)
